i
. .
.
;it
Land Conservation Division
Dane County Land&Water Resources Department
r
.. f...,.
.. .01:...1...15—%,
. sio, Patrick J.Sutter,County Conservationist
'CON
- --
DATE: June 1, 2009
TO: Greg and Mary Rees
Applicants
FROM: April Taylor
Erosion Control Specialist
RE: Rees Drive & SFR (5550 CTH J)—Revised Erosion Control Plan, EC 2007-
0402, 2nd Revision
The submitted revisions to the erosion control plan (revisions in bold) meet the needs of the
site. The plan includes the following requirements:
1. The site may only be accessed off of CTH J using the existing gravel driveway. No other
site access may be used and material deposited in the road must be cleaned up throughout
and at the end of each workday.
2. Silt fence must be installed prior to grading in the locations shown on the plan and where
deemed necessary, including the down slope of all soil stockpiles. The silt fence must be
maintained until the site is vegetated and stabilized.
3. Stone check dams must be installed in the locations identified in the plan prior to other
grading. Sediment must be removed from the upslope side of the check dams once it
reaches 1/2 their height. Some check dams have been eliminated and spacing between
check dams has increased. See revised plan.
4. Culvert and pipe outfalls will be protected by rock riprap. The riprap will be installed such
that it forms a"bowl" with a depth of at least 12-inches to dissipate runoff energy.
5. Grading must be confined to the areas shown on the plan. No material storage, vehicle
traffic or grading may occur in the areas identified as undisturbed on the plan. In the event
any of these areas are disturbed, additional erosion control measures will be required.
6. The plan includes a construction schedule as follows:
Grading and construction for the driveway is planned to begin on September 15,
2008.
Lyman F.Anderson Agriculture&Conservation Center
1 Fen Oak Court,Room 208,Madison,Wisconsin 53718-8812-PH:608/224-3730,FAX:608/224-3745
www.countyofdane.com/landconservation
