II 0 P01
TOWN OF VIENNA
Office of the Clerk(608)846-3800
S..'70 Norway Grove Road;DeForest, Wi. 53532
December 15, 1998
Dane County Zoning Committee
City-County Building, Rm 112
'210 Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd
Madison, Wisconsin 5370' -0001
Re: Zoning Petition#7428 (Parcel number 0909-072-9310-5)
rear Sirs:
The Vienna Town Plan Cor;unittee and Town Board recently reviewed zoning petition# 7428 by
.Jarrell Clemens to change..he zoning on his property to A-2. Mr. Clemens previously appeared
Before the Vienna Board ar;d Plan Committee with his request. It was explained that the parcel was
,,urrently not listed as a conforming or legal parcel in Dane County records. The request would make
he necessary changes sought by Dane County.
En approving Mr. Clemens 'equest for the zoning change, the Vienna Board and Plan Committee
understood that the existing buildings(including the trailer)could remain on the parcel and that Mr.
Clemens would be allowed to build another building to be used as a personal shop. Vienna records
have listed that property as a 2.2 acre tax parcel for many years, although the parcel is listed as being
1.9 acres exclusive of right of way. We received a comment report from Dane County Regional
Planning stating that the change would be consistent as long as the mobile home was removed.
The Town of Vienna Board and Plan Committee support the approval of zoning petition#7428. They
also request that all existing building be allowed to remain and a new shop building be allowed a
zoning and building permit as requested. We would support a zoning variance, if necessary, which
would allow the existing mobile home to remain under the condition that no replacement of that
mobile home be allowed at the end of its present use. Thus, the Town of Vienna asks that the
petition be approved as described herein. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Robert Pulvermacher
Vienna Town Clerk/Ofl"ic=Manager
cc: Vienna Town Board
Mr, Darrell Clemens
