To: Helen Johnson, Chair
Zoning and Natural Resource Committee
From: Lee and Susan Greenler
1720 Tower Valley Rd
Stoughton, WI 53589
873-2032
Re: Zoning petition#7271
(from Milwaukee Repeater Service)
Dear Ms. Johnson
We own the property that lies south of the property that surrounds the tower owned
by Milwaukee Repeater Service. The easement for access to this tower has run, since it
was built, through property presently owned by Mr. Grohmann of Skidmore Road. We
understand that this easement was recently retracted and that M.R.S. is, presently,
without access to their tower and looking for new access.
Mr. Grohmann's desire to have the easement removed from his property is
understandable and we hope that a solution that is satisfactory to everyone in the area can
be reached.
We, however, would not like to have the easement taken out of our land and we know
of no one else, at this time, who is willing to provide a new easement. The alternatives I
am aware of would either run across pieces of good agricultural land or would simply
reroute the traffic close to someone else's house.
There may be other alternatives and I hope one that is satisfactory to all can be found.
If not, we urge the committee to recommend reinstating the old easement on the existing
road and doing whatever it can to ensure that the traffic on the road be as light and
unobtrusive as possible to Mr. Grohmann.
Lee and Susan Greenler
