Dear Zoning committee and staff:
Regarding the latest conditions from the town board,(Planning Committee has not
considered this) we question the following— No enforcement provisions as to driveway
tilt or one—way snow plowing, and the wordy evasion of adherence to the actual survey
line. There was to be no driveway or service entrance activity closer than four feet
from that line. Any of these can easily be changed by a future motor grader operator
or determined individuals bent upon altering surveyor stake positions.
In addition,no culvert design—placement is mentioned, nor town driveway restrictions
listed
on page 4 under the Agriculture District Policies. The lack of culverts the entire
lenght of driveway will affect all, especially the farmer west of Breunig road who has
expressed concern
about water and gravel runoff
At this March 1 meeting, chairman Ervin Breunig related that the original plans for
this driveway were for servicing more than one homesite. In fact there were twoosets
of percolation tests
about L000 feet apart; one near proposed homesite. Mr. Cheney'bas done
many surveys since the Smedley's sale of the Ballweg farm marking out the various divisions.
The mid—February survey near proposed serviceAdriveway appears to have some variance with
previously placed markers.
If this petition is approved, it will be the first of possibly many non—farm res+detia1
projects on Breunig road north of US 12. Many of the dairy farms here are undergoing
moderate to very significant expansion. Our involvement has only come about since we have
been threatened with a lawsuit.
Sincerely,
‘ y , „ . .
s35-1,0
