TRANSPORTATION
The predominant transportation system in Roxbury consists of U.S. Highway (USH) 12, a
principal arterial, which crosses the town from northwest to southeast; State Trunk Highway
(STH) 78, a minor arterial, carrying north-south traffic at the western edge of the town; and STH
188, a major collector, which provides a north-south connection in the northwest corner of the
town. County Trunk Highways (CTH) V and Y, a major and minor collector, respectively, are
important east-west routes, while CTH KP, a minor collector, is the main north-south route
through the central part of the town. The town roads function to provide access to individual
properties and move traffic to the collector and arterial roadways.
TOWN LAND USE OBJECTIVES
The preparation of objectives for the Town of Roxbury are to provide guidelines for the citizens
and officials in making decisions about where future growth and development should occur.
