There appears <br /> to be some inconsistency in how this issue is being viewed. <br /> The Thompsons have owned and resided on this property since February 1970. They purchased <br /> it from Mrs. Thompsons' parents (List), who owned it for ten years prior to that. They want <br /> to be able to divide and rezone this property, so that their 38 year old son, who is somewhat <br /> physically limited, be able to independently live in his own home. This property has not been <br /> used for ag purposes and will never be large enough to contribute to ag use. The Board feels <br /> allowing this rezone of a 2.4 acre parcel to accommodate another residence makes a lot more <br /> sense and better use of land that allowing someone to buy 35 acres to build one house. <br /> The Springfield Town Board respectfully requests that you permit this land division and <br /> rezone for the best possible use of the land in our Town.
