The following information is from
the Final Report of the Dane County Indian Mounds
Identification Project. This group once Consisted
of an unkown number of mounds of which only one clearly
distinguishable mound remains. There do appear to
be remnants of three other conicals in the cultivated
field to the east and possibly a very low linear in
the alfalfa field to the west. These mounds will
be indistinguishable within a few years. The remaining
conical is in relatively good condition although it
has been truncated by cultivation on its eastern end.
A detailed map of this site is included in Appendix
"C" of the Final Report.
MM.TERIAL DESCRIPTION:
SITE REPORTER/AFFIL./DATE: Charles E.
