Town Clerk under the same procedure as all other petitions. I abstained from voting in
this matter at that meeting. Our plans to proceed with the green house business were
started in 1993 long before I even considered serving on the Town Board. The move to
put my office at this location was both a practical and economical decision based on the
facts before us. As Town Chairman I sat down and looked at the situation from the
perspective of having someone else proposing this to the Town Board. At the time the
application for rezoning was filed a deed restriction was included with the rezoning
petition which does not allow these buildings to be rented or sold to any outside
party for any use other than for a greenhouse operation. This is the use that is
allowed under current zoning with the exception of allowing resale of outside goods
that requires the Cl zoning. No other type of business could be located here outside
what is now proposed.
The Zoning and Natural Resources Committee has a working meeting on May 5th to
review this petition for recommendation to the County Board. We are asking that you
send a note to this committee stating your feelings to what we are proposing whether you
agree or not. Please send your response to the address below and indicate it regards
zoning petition 7195:
James Gregorius
Zoning Administrator
Dane County Planning and Development
Room 116
City-County Building
210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd
Madison, WI 53709
If you have any other questions regarding this matter please feel free to stop by the house
or call me at(608)655-4917.
Thank you,
Ronald A.
