K
Neither parcel would be a problem in reference to wet lands. The building site for the
south location is on high ground and the parcel to the north locations are on high ground
as well. These locations have been discussed with the Town of Berry Planning
Commission and the Town of Berry Board.
The comment of the minimum lot size to be between two and ten acres comes from the 1981
town plan which has not been used since 1988. We understand that there is some confusion
concerning the plan the Town of Berry has been using since 1988, however, we are being
consistent with all county and town rezones that have been approved in the past regardless of
1981 plan or 1988 revised plan. In addition, the 1981 plan states the minimum lot size , nothing
about maximum size. Our intention is to keep these two parcels agricultural with the ability for
each to have a home for their individual use. Keeping the land in Ag should be in everyones
best interests.
We feel we have done everything that our Town Planning Commission and Town Board has
asked of us. This request came to the county level after meeting and disussing the options with
the Town of Berry. We look forward to working with both the Town of Berry and Dane County
Zoning in the future.
Thank you,
Curtis and Willetta Kahl
9106 Kahl Rd.
Black Earth,WI. 53515
