In rezoning your home now, you would be eliminating the
need to do so if a disaster were to occur in the future.
Based on the dimensions of your property, it would be most suitable for you to rezone to
R-3 Residential district. In order to make the rezone process easier for you, I am
including a list of steps which you should take to make an application for rezone.
1. Talk to the Town of Blooming Grove Chair, Tom Anderson
(phone#223-1104) and let him know that you will be making application
for a rezone to R-3 from B-1. This could merely be an informal phone
call to let him know what your intentions are. This way he would be
expecting your petition"down the road" once we mail all the necessary
paperwork to his Town for a vote by the Town Board.
2. Bring the following materials into our office in order to make application
for a rezone:
a. Legal description of the property (which I've provided here):
Clyde A Gallagher Park Subdivision Lot 473
Town of Blooming Grove, Section 5 NE 1/4 NE 1/4
