Conditional Use Permit Request
7580 W. Old Sauk Rd. Town of Middleton
Legal Description- Lot 2 of CSM 8429 ( See attachment 1) is currently being divided
into a 3.5 acre farmette and the remaining approximately 12 acres will be left vacant.
(See attachment 2) The farmette will be carved out of the SW corner of Lot 2 CSM
8429. The Town of Middleton has approved the division with restrictions. It is
currently at ZNR and is not being considered for rezoning.
The parcel number for the current parcel is 0708-173-9690-0
The current owners are Milo and Phyllis Breunig, MPB Properties of Middleton. The
proposed use for the property by the buyer Doug Normington is as a limited family
business called Normco Multi-Media. This is a one person business and the request
is for Mr. Normington to operate in the currently unused dairy barn, from a renovated
room. The business is an audio visual production company whose clients include Trek
Bicycle, CUNA, and Rayovac.
The exterior of the barn will be changed little except for the addition of several
windows and to do some deferred maintenance of the structure. This will improve and
preserve the dairy barn. Mr. Normington will live in the farm house.
The renovation will take place this summer and most likely be completed in 1998.
This property is very suitable for this use. The business will be largely undetectable,
does not generate traffic and will help preserve the rural look by renovating the dairy
barn. The lot is mature and will need no further landscaping to shield activity from the
road. (see attached photo)
The filing fee of$165 is attached.
