I
September 19, 1997
9604 Dunlap Hollow Road
Tax Parcel #0906-364-9000-3
Explanation of request for land division and parcel rezoning in town of Mazomanie
Evan and Linda McAteer
In the Fall of 1989 my wife and I purchased a farm property that was an unsuccessful
hog operation, zoned AG-1. We proceeded to restore the land to its former condition by
removing seven buildings left to neglect, hauling offsite countless truck loads of
concrete, cutting up many old age oak and hickory trees killed from soil changes
brought on by previous hog farming operations. We re-seeded to lawn much of the area
that was formerly buildings. We planted over 100 trees and shrubs to replace the ones
lost. Our fifteen acres has undergone a change that now blends in with the unique
characteristic of the area known as Dunlap Hollow.
We now have an opportunity to move to a new residence. We would like to divide our
property into two parcels. Two interested parties have agreed upon a land division that
suits their needs. There will be no changes in the use of these parcels. Rezoning needs to
be done to conform with current zoning regulations.
One parcel would consist of the existing house and approximately nine acres with
surrounding wooded hillsides and field. The new rezone should be RH-3. The other
parcel would be approximately six acres consisting of outbuildings and field. This
would be used for storage purposes and vegetable farming. No future development is
planned. This parcel's new rezone should be RH-2.
°? e
  957
