CORDS
This is in reference to notes from Dane County ZNR working meeting January 6,1998
Petition 7106 Postponed .
Reasons : Place houses to ensure privacy and mal character
Remove visibility of homes from public road
Avoid multiple long driveways
In addressing the rezone request, we would like to propose the following:
Restrict the use of the land to houses, out buildings and Ag use only. Such as
farming of the land or planting it in nature preserve if not farmed. Remove the
following permitted Conditional uses allowed under A2 District, 10.126 (3) as
follows:(a) Mineral extraction(b)Radio , Television Transmitting Towers
(c)Dumping grounds etc. (d)Cemeteries (e)Airports etc.(f)Religious uses
(g)Salvage recycling centers (h)Solid Waste recycling center
(I)Dependency living arrangement (j)Governmental uses (k)Native wildlife
rehabilitation facility (1)Parking of not more than two trucks, semi-tractors or
semi-trailers, which have a gross vehicle weight of over 12,000 lbs. (n) Private
} Schools (o)Kennels, horse boarding stables, riding stables, hay and sleigh rides,
horse shows and similar events. (p)Unlimited livestock on 3 to 16 acres. (q)Sale
of agricultural and dairy products not produced on the premises and incidental
sale of pop and candy. (s) Retail sales etc. (t)Retail sales of pet food etc.
(u)Training of dogs etc. Note- one animal unit per acre as requested by Town of
Berry would remain.
Mark Roffers, Brian Standing, Gary Achenbach and Kendall Kahl met at the sites
and discussed the possibilities for house locations for all lots. Lot 1 has
more of an option for site location due to the rocky soil near Far View or the slope
of the land would be workable for a driveway to the south wooded area of the lot.
Lot 2 would better be utilized near the Far View Rd. area which could be located
to the south some what before the lot slopes to the south at approximately 16%.
Lot 3 is similar to lot 2 in that it slopes to the south towards the wooded
area at about 12 to 16%.
The issue of multiple long driveways can be limited by placing the homes
between Far View Rd. and the area where the lots begin to slope. The houses on
lots 2 and 3 would be well suited for location closer to Far View Rd,
approximately 200 feet from the road. Pine trees or vegetation could be planted
along Far View Road to create a break between the houses and Far View Rd , to
reduce the visibility of the homes from the road, create privacy and maintain rural
character.
This would enable us to avoid long individual driveways and minimize the need
for shared driveways. It was noted from the last working meeting that Mr.Norb
