TOWN OF BERRY PLANNING COMMISSION Black Earth Fire Station <br /> DATE: February 15, 1999 <br /> Meeting called to order by Chair Barb Ripp-Statz. Present were Ripp-Statz <br /> Bankes, V. Theis, Wendt, Carlson, S. Theis and Hodgson. <br /> Motion by Bankes seconded by V. Theis to approve January 18 minutes. <br /> File 99005 <br /> Jerry Ripp present to petition for rezone of 2.33 acres on Enchanted Valley <br /> for homesite for daughter/husband. Site visited on Saturday Feb 6 by <br /> Commission. Request is for RH1 . Site meets all Land Use Plan criteria. <br /> Motion by Hodgson for approval seconded by Wendt. Discussion included <br /> question by Bankes on conditions of RH1 . Vote for approval 7-0. <br /> File 99004 <br /> Albert Meier was represented by Kendall Kahl on request for rezones of 4 <br /> lots on Spring Valley Rd in section 15. Lot 4 has existing home on 6.05 <br /> acres and is to be CSM fm Ag to RH4. Lot 1 is 4acres, Lot 2 is 4.2 and Lot <br /> 3 is 6.04 acres. Sites were visited by Commission on Feb 6. Each will have <br /> their own driveway and request is for rezone to RH4. Motion by Wendt seconded <br /> by S. Theis for approval. Discussion included remarks from the floor. (Lucey) <br /> Shared driveways were suggested but later dropped. Questions were raised <br /> on whether Land Use Plan is being followed. Per Meier, there are 7 fields <br /> in these 21 acres, not economical, and each year rocks have to be removed. <br /> Even though it has been farmed in the past, it is considered least significant <br /> as far as productive farmland. Slope is no problem. Vote 6-1 for approval. <br /> File 99006 <br /> Eugene Maier present to request rezone of 3 acres off Hillpoint Rd. fronting <br /> town road (farm drive) next to his farm. Site is in trees and may need <br /> engineer report for drive. Must cross large gully with drive. Request is <br /> for RH1 . Motion by S. Theis for approval seconded by Wendt. Discussion <br /> included length of town road. Vote for approval 7-0. <br /> File 98018 <br /> Final driveway inspection for Doug Schwarz homesite on Hillpoint. Inspected <br /> by Commission of Feb 6. Meets all Driveway requirements. Motion by S. Theis <br /> seconded by Carlson. Approved 7-0. <br /> • <br /> File 98021 (Reference) <br /> Dan Laufenberg present to request a second split on Brewery Rd. Farm had <br /> 2 splits left. Sold 35+ acres to Mr. Heffron for development (adjacent to <br /> village)**Minutes fm November show land sold to I!effron were 25 acres in <br /> May of 98 with 1 remaining split. County considers if Heffron purchased <br /> more that 35 acres a split wouldn't be counted against them. **This does <br /> not make any sense! Suggested Laufenberg present Commission a letter of <br /> intent from the Village of Cross Plains. Motion by Ripp-Statz to postpone <br /> seconded by Carlson. Approved 7-0. <br /> File 97017 & 98015 <br /> Willie Kueler and Attorney Ron Trachtenberg present with revised map and <br /> legal discription of restrictions to be practiced if Commission/Town Board <br />
