Minutes of the meeting of the ZNR Subcommittee January 30, 1998 Page 1 of 1 <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE DANE COUNTY ZONING AND NATURAL <br /> RESOURCES COMMITTEE SUBCOMMITTEE FOR THE REVIEW OF PETITION <br /> NUMBER 7110 SEEKING TO REMOVE DEED RESTRICTIONS ON LAND IN SECTION 3, <br /> TOWN OF ROXBURY. <br /> HELD ON JANUARY 30, 1998 <br /> Members present: Kevin Kesterson, Lyman Anderson <br /> Members absent: John Hendrick <br /> Others present: Ery Breunig, Dave Marshall, Brian Standing, Ken Kearney, Karen Kearney, <br /> The meeting was called to order at 3:15 p.m. by Chair Kesterson. <br /> 1. Anderson/Kesterson to approve minutes from January 16, 1998 meeting. <br /> 2. The subcommittee reviewed a 1/23/98 memo from Brian Standing of the Dane County <br /> Department of Planning & Development that outlined the relevant issues and options for <br /> conditions that would address these concerns. Ken and Karen Kearney indicated that they were <br /> generally agreeable to all the recommended conditions, with the exception of option 7, regarding <br /> reducing the number of units to less than 100. There was general agreement that the current <br /> restriction of no more than 100 units was appropriate. <br /> 3. Ken Kearney also reported that he was working with the Town of Roxbury to dedicate a <br /> public beach on land northwest of the mobile home park. This land is currently zoned RE-1. <br /> Discussion followed regarding whether campgrounds were permitted uses in an RE-1 district. <br /> 4. Dave Marshall of the DNR distributed copies of a pamphlet concerning landscaping <br /> guidelines for shoreland areas. These guidelines would be appropriate for the re-establishment <br /> of a native buffer, as suggested in the January 16 meeting. <br /> 5. There was a discussion about adjacent land owned on the hill to the south of the mobile home <br /> park. Ken Kearney indicated that he had no immediate plans to develop or remove trees on that <br /> parcel. <br /> 6.
