Caflisch,
Our records show parcel 0610-262-9841-0 consisting of a portion of land between DNR lands described in quit
claim deed #2169042 and new US Highway 51 right-of-way; a portion lying adjacent to the easterly US
Highway 51 right-of-way near the northerly line of the southeast 1/4 of the northwest 1/4 (and Government lot 2)
in Section 26 of Dunn township; and also a portion lying immediately north of the vacated Charles Lane right-
of-way. It is from this last portion that we included a mention of part of vacated Charles Lane in the description
of the parcel.
When we mapped out the description from the 2003 quit claim deed (#3828995) from DOT to James Barber,
we did not find the courses travelled northerly to include the strip on the northerly side of the vacated Charles
Lane right-of-way.
Jim
pin eizap
Lead Land Records Specialist
Dane County Planning& Development
210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Rm. 116
Madison WI 53703
Ph. Charles lane is attaching to the parcel to the west of the
highway? I suspect it happened this way because the DOT owned all of that land on both sides of the highway and then
sold some. See if you have anything in the file that you have on this.
acre eme ryiy.41a441 Ree,074, Ream,
608-266-4120
3
