Minutes of ZNR Committee March 17 98 Page 1 <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE DANE COUNTY <br /> ZONING AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE <br /> HELD ON March 17, 1998 <br /> PRESENT: Anderson,Hendrick,Kesterson, Salkin, McCormick, Cornwell,Van Deurzen <br /> ALSO: Smiley, Gregorius, Scribner, Sieling, Roffers. <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Meeting called to order by Chairman Van Deurzen at 5:30 P.M.in room 2D City-County Building. <br /> II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Motion by Salkin/Cornwell to approve the minutes of the February 24, 1998 and March 3, 1998 meetings <br /> of the Zoning and Natural Resources committee;carried 7-0. <br /> III. PUBLIC COMMENT: <br /> Mr. Jerry Derr addressed the committee with respect to Ordinance Amendments 34 and 35 which are <br /> scheduled for public hearing on March 24, 1998. Mr. Derr indicated that the Towns Association has <br /> recommended several amendments to the Ordinance Amendments as proposed. <br /> Mr. Kevin Ward spoke to the committee regarding Radio Communication systems and the ability to utilize <br /> these system for educational purposes. <br /> Mr.Dave Black addressed the committee to respond to committee questions regarding Conditional Use Permit <br /> # 1480. Chairman Van Deurzen indicated that it was inappropriate at this time and that it should be addressed <br /> when the Conditional Use Permit is placed back on the agenda. <br /> Mr.Mark Hazelbaker spoke regarding Ordinance Amendments 34 and 35. <br /> IV. REZONE AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATIONS FROM <br /> PREVIOUS MEETINGS <br /> a.7134,Atwell,Town of Cross Plains, 1/27/98 (referred from County Board) <br /> Motion by Salkin/Anderson to reaffirm the committee action of February 17, 1998 which was to approve <br /> with the Town condition that this is the last allowable split under the present land use plan,carried 7-0. <br /> Motion Salkin/Anderson to approve as amended;carried 7-0. <br /> b.7117/CUP1472,WDOT and Sprint PCS,Town of Pleasant Springs, 12/16/97 <br /> Motion by Salkin/Anderson to postpone;carried 7-0. <br /> c. 7151,Yelk,Town of Berry,2/24/98 (establish site visit date) <br /> Chairman Van Deurzen indicated that the committee will do a site visit of the property on March 28, <br /> 1998 at 8:00 A.M. <br /> d.CUP 1477,Myren,Town of Medina,2/24/98 <br /> Motion by Hendrick/Salkin to impose the following condition: <br /> 1.That it be for a single family residence only. <br /> Motion carried 7-0. <br /> Motion by Hendrick/Salkin to find that the standards of the zoning ordinance are met and to <br /> approve the Conditional Use Permit as conditioned;carried 7-0. <br /> e.7150,Wirtanen,Town of Verona,2/24/98 <br /> Motion by Salkin/Kesterson to approve;carried 7-0. <br /> f.CUP 1478,J&H Wisconsin,Town of Blooming Grove,2/24/98 <br />
