Page 1 <br /> DANE COUNTY <br /> CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT #1418 <br /> THE ZONING AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD <br /> PURSUANT TO SECTION 10.255 (2) OF THE DANE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> DOES HEREBY: <br /> GRANT the conditional use permit subject to conditions. <br /> FOR: Mineral extraction site. <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE OF PERMIT: 1/20/98 EXPIRATION DATE: 7/20/2001 <br /> THE CONDITIONAL USE SHALL BE LOCATED ON THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> A parcel of land located in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section <br /> 3, Town of Roxbury described as follows: Commencing at the <br /> Northeast corner of said Section 3; thence South 400 feet to the <br /> point of beginning; thence continue South 850 feet; thence West <br /> 550 feet; thence North 850 feet; thence East 550 feet to the <br /> point of beginning. <br /> CONDITIONS: <br /> These conditions are specifically made applicable to this permit, <br /> any violation of such conditions shall be sufficient grounds for <br /> revocation of this permit. <br /> 1. The applicant shall submit an erosion control plan covering the entire CUP site and <br /> the entire area of the existing non-conforming extraction site, and receive approval <br /> of an erosion control permit prior to beginning extraction in the CUP site. <br /> 2. The applicant shall apply for and receive a special exception permit for all lands <br /> proposed for excavation that are within 300 feet of Crystal Lake or the pond to the <br /> southeast of the CUP site prior to beginning extraction in such areas. <br /> 3. The applicant shall apply for an receive all other required local, state, and federal <br /> permits. <br /> 4. The operator shall, at his expense, have a qualified professional complete an <br /> archaeological survey of the CUP site and submit the results of that survey to the <br /> Town Clerk and County Zoning Division prior to beginning extraction on the CUP <br /> site. The operator shall also, at his expense, have periodic archaeological <br /> inspections performed during removal of top soil layers. The operator shall avoid <br /> disturbing any protected archaeological sites. <br />
