To be
considered for the January 6 meeting, we would need such complete information by MONDAY,
DECEMBER 29. Otherwise, the ZNR Committee's next work meeting is January 20. To get on
that meeting's agenda, we would need the additional information by MONDAY, JANUARY 12.
The information staff requires before we would recommend rescheduling your CUP request at a
ZNR Committee meeting includes the following:
1. A written legal description of the proposed CUP area. I understand that the Town has asked
you to revise the boundaries and/or size of the CUP area from your original proposal.
2. A revised site plan showing ALL of the following information:
a) The boundaries of both the existing non-conforming extraction area and the proposed
expansion area under this CUP. You should show the revised CUP area boundaries as
agreed to with the Town.
b) Existing land contour lines at no greater than two foot intervals.
c) The location of all existing homes and roads within 600 feet of the CUP area.
d) The location and heights of all proposed berms. Back in March, staff recommended a
landscaped berm along the western edge of the proposed CUP area to provide a visual
and noise barrier from the growing residential area to the west. Such a berm should be
shown on the site plan.
e) A clearly defined alignment for a proposed driveway minimizing the number of access
points onto Mussen Road.
f) All areas proposed to be fenced, and the type and height of fencing proposed to be used.
One of the Town's recommended conditions was that "areas deemed dangerous to the
general public shall be fenced. Fence location will be indicated on the mineral
