Bigelow RESOLUTION NUMBER <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council established the High Point/Raymond Neighborhood and Ice Age Trail Advisory <br /> Committee in the Fall of 1996 to review issues related to the possible extension of High Point Road from Mid-Town <br /> Road to County Trunk Highway PD, and the impact of this possible road extension on the proposed Ice Age Trail, <br /> its connection to Elver Park, and adjacent recommended urban development proposals, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Draft High Point/Raymond Neighborhood Plan was prepared in April of 1996 and included a <br /> recommended location for High Point Road, and recommended adjacent land uses, and <br /> WHEREAS, over the next 6 months the Plan Commission, Parks Commission and Transportation Commission <br /> reviewed the Draft Plan and discussed the issues related to the possible extension of High Point Road on several <br /> occasions with each Commission making a different recommendation on the High Point Road extension issue, and <br /> WHEREAS, the High Point/Raymond Neighborhood and Ice Age Trail Advisory Committee reviewed the <br /> recommendations of each of the Commissions and the recommendations of the Parks Division, Planning Unit, <br /> Traffic Engineering and City Engineering staff, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Committee reviewed the traffic impacts of various road improvement alternatives based on traffic <br /> modeling prepared by the Dane County Regional Planning Commission staff which included the elimination of the <br /> 1/17/97-jeg-F:\PLROOT\WORDP\PLUv1URPHYV.11SC\HPRESO 2Z <br />
