One of my recommendations to the County Zoning and Natural Resources Committee, <br /> which I copied you on, was that the applicant provide a landscape/screening plan for the property. <br /> On June 10, I toured the site with Mark Barnes and Brett Cox from Barnes Landscaping to <br /> discuss what the landscape/screening plan should include. On June 20, Mr. Barnes submitted the <br /> attached landscape plan. <br /> Mr. Barnes indicated that the Town wanted a written statement from me that the submitted plan <br /> met the intent of my recommendation. The attached plan is consistent both with the intent of my <br /> original recommendation and the results of my June 10 site visit, with the following qualifications: <br /> 1. The"burn pad and storage bunker" should be screened as required by DNR rules. <br /> 2. The proposed earthen berm near the center of the property along the USH 151 frontage should <br /> be a minimum of eight feet in height, but higher if necessary to block the view of the use from <br /> USH 151. <br /> 3. The plan does not address landscaping on most of the property already zoned C-2, as it was <br /> not requested that the plan include this area. <br /> It's important to note that my position may not reflect the views of the Zoning and Natural <br /> Resources Committee, which will ultimately decide for the County whether the proposed <br /> landscape/screening plan is adequate. <br /> If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at 266-4021. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Mark Roffers <br /> Senior Planner <br /> cc: Mark Barnes <br />
