June 26, 1997 <br /> To: Friends and Neighbors <br /> From: Vince and Sarah Laufenberg <br /> 6497 Whalen Road <br /> Verona, WI 53593 <br /> Re: Rezoning Petition <br /> Dear Friends, <br /> I am writing to you to inform you of our possible intentions to file a rezoning petition with Dane County <br /> and to ask you for your thoughts and feelings on such a change. <br /> The petition will request that our current RH-1 zoning be changed to R3A. This change would allow <br /> the existing house to be divided into two separate living units for the propose of renting one of the <br /> units, while our family occupies the second unit. To comply with current building and health <br /> regulations scheduled improvements to the house will include a second story vertical expansion to the <br /> back half of the house (This will not increase the size of the buildings footprint), new septic system <br /> sized according to Dane County Human Services requirements, and the addition of a second story deck <br /> to the south/west corner of the house. These improvements will add only one additional bedroom to the <br /> current floor plan. If the rezoning is approved additional improvements to the house would include new <br /> roofing, siding, windows, insulation, and other energy upgrades. <br /> The next petition filling date at Dane County is Tuesday, July 1, 1997, but before I file this petition I <br /> wanted to inform you of our intentions and answer any questions or concerns you may have. I have <br /> talked with the Town of Verona Planning Board at there last meeting and they had no objections and <br /> encouraged me to proceed with a formal petition to Dane County.
