8. Stock piles are breeding grounds for vermin and other critters.
9. Potential for Indian Mounds on the property (old maps show the top of the
hill as an important Indian location).
Please note that it is not our intention to put Mr. Darst out of business; we wish
his business well. We all believe that his current A-B Zoning is sufficient space
to conduct a profitable business. Our purpose is to protect our property values
and our quality of life. A change in zoning would seriously decrease all of
our property values and quality of life. We cannot let this happen.
We all moved here for the quiet, rural nature of the area, and we were told it
would remain that way. The Town of Dunn's Land Use Plan states "It is the
clear intent of the goals and policies to preserve the agricultural character of our
Town. Land uses not compatible with farming operations will be discouraged in
agricultural areas." It is clear from our reading of the Plan that it is the intent of
the Plan to preserve the above mentioned land for agricultural use. The Rayfields
were told by the Town of Dunn when they purchased their home that nothing
would change behind their property because of the Town of Dunn Land Use
Plan. We all question how a change in zoning of this property would fit into the
Town of Dunn's Land Use Plan?
Please also note that all of the adjacent property owners want to be notified and
present at all hearing and meeting concerning this zoning change. Several of us
have planned vacations this summer, and request that all meeting and hearing be
scheduled to accommodate everybody. Since a zoning change would have such a
significant impact on our lives, this is a reasonable request.
Thank you for your time and understanding.
Sincerely, •
1q ,r char
r()/CL"-
C
IA 4 ' %.
