• COMPOSITE REPORT - Page 2 APPLICATION NO.
STAFF COMMENTS
REGIONAL PLANNING
Corrected Comments - Petition 6465. This petition is not for the division of two lots from an area
of 2.6 acres as stated on the "proposed use."
There is an existing lot with a residence on it. The petition proposes to add some land to this
parcel, plus create a new parcel from the larger land parcel to the south.
There is sufficient ownership of the larger parcel, so that the density policy is not an issue. Thus,
this proposal appears to be consistent with the town/county plan in Westport.
It was noted at the public hearing that the mineral extraction site to the east has ceased operation.
In checking with Zoning staff, they concurred that the mineral extraction operations have ceased.
CUP 286 for mineral extraction has expired. Reclamation activities are underway; however, there
are no specific time limits on the complete reclamation.
We also reviewed the conditional use permit for the A-2 site across Oncken Road to the north.
The status is that Demolition Material Disposal is still permitted by Conditional Use Permit 250,
with no specific expiration date.
Thus, mineral extraction has creased at both sites, but there is no time limit on the final
reclamation of these sites.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (septic, etc.)
DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY
OTHER
