The conditional use application would allow a high <br /> powered deer rifle range, in addition to the archery range now <br /> permitted, to operate less than 75 yards from my clients' <br /> residence. <br /> My clients continue to object to this location for the operation <br /> of a rifle and archery range. Such use of Mr. Denner' s property <br /> would violate the standards for issuance of a conditional use <br /> permit as found in Dane County Ordinance § 10 .255 (2) (h) 1-6 . Mr. <br /> Waters has not changed his position and continues to object. <br /> However, if this board considers granting the conditional use <br /> permit application, Mr. and Mrs. Waters request that the <br /> recommendations of Mr. Richard Thompson, forensic firearms <br /> expert, be added as restrictions and conditions. In addition, <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Waters request the following conditions and <br /> restrictions be placed upon the conditional use. <br /> 1. Parking. The parking which is presently available is <br /> inadequate. It is requested that parking be provided in <br /> compliance with Dane County Ordinance § 10 .18 (1) - (3) . (Attached. ) <br /> With regards to the number of spaces, you should remember that <br /> both the archery and rifle clubs use these facilities, in <br /> addition to 50 hunter safety students a year. The town of Verona <br /> has requested that the rifle club' s membership be limited to 32 <br /> members. Although to my clients' knowledge the archery club has <br /> not disclosed its membership list, they believe that there are an <br /> additional 50 members in the archery club.
