These proposed residential lots are in the agricultural preservation area of the Town of <br /> York. <br /> The RH-2 parcel has an existing house near Clarkson Road and appears to be reasonably consistent <br /> with the adopted town/county policies. <br /> The three lots proposed for RH-3 zoning raise some concerns related to adopted town/county policies: <br /> 4. To limit non farm residential development to those areas which are not classified as <br /> prime farmland" <br /> Comment: <br /> According to the application, 65%of the site is either Class I or II soils, the most productive on a scale <br /> of I through VIII. This roughly correlates with land designated as prime agricultural soil as defined by <br /> USDA. <br /> 6. To locate development so that all land divisions or subdivision areas connect directly to <br /> existing public streets and to prevent the layout of streets or driveways across <br /> agricultural land in order to reach non farm development." <br /> Comment: <br /> The"flag" of these three lots is approximately 1/4 mile long and crosses a farm field. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (septic, etc.) <br /> None. <br /> DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY <br /> None. <br /> OTHER <br /> None. <br /> • <br />
