Members also expressed a desire to ensure that the proposed <br /> landscaping of the properties would be accomplished. <br /> Chairman Tallard moved, seconded by Supervisor Held, to approve the rezoning subject to the <br /> contingencies noted in Attachment A and the conditions contained in Attachment B. <br /> MOTION CARRIED. 5- 0. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING- HICKORY KNOLL PRELIMINARY PLAT LOCATED IN THE <br /> NE 1/4 AND THE SE 1/4 OF SECTION 30, T7N, R8E, TOWN OF MIDDLETON, DANE <br /> COUNTY, WISCONSIN <br /> Chairman Tallard called the Public Hearing to order at 7:45 PM. Greg Jewell of Jewell& <br /> Associates appeared on behalf of the developers of the plat. Jewell explained that the plat included <br /> 21 lots ranging in size from 40,000 - 49,000 square feet. Jewell also indicated that: <br /> -Outlot #1 was the wooded area of the plat. <br /> -Redesign of the temporary cul-de-sac on Kempfer Lane was a developer responsibility. <br /> -Recreational easements were provided for access to West Middleton School. <br /> -James Watts would be a signatory on the plat. <br /> Town Engineer Bob Rudd indicated that all engineering issues had been resolved. He also <br /> informed the Board that the Plan Commission had recommended approval of the preliminary plat <br /> on April 3, 1996. <br /> Several individuals(Greg Struckland, John Price, etc) questionned the impact of the plat on <br /> drainage in the area. Jewell and Rudd assured the residents that drainage issues would be resolved <br /> with most water flowing to the northeast. <br /> Supervisor Held moved, seconded by Supervisor Riker, to close the Public Hearing at 8:12 <br /> PM. <br /> MOTION CARRIED. <br /> Supervisor Held moved, seconded by Supervisor Bakken, to approve the preliminary plat <br /> subject to the following conditions: <br /> -Incorporation of all conditions recommended by the Plan Commission. <br /> -Payment of park fees($1,500 x 21 lots) <br /> -Approval of the Restrictive Covenants and Developer's Agreement by Legal Counsel <br /> and the Town Engineer <br /> -Approval of all engineering requirements by the Town Engineer <br /> MOTION CARRIED. <br /> 2 <br />
