• <br /> To: Dane County Board Members <br /> From: Town of Vermont Residents <br /> Subject: Opposition to Zoning Petition#6606 <br /> The undersigned residents of the Town of Vermont oppose the conversion of <br /> agricultural land to residential use as proposed in zoning petition# 6606 . This <br /> proposed zoning change violates the Town of Vermont Land Use Plan. While <br /> limited corner construction of housing in agricultural fields has been approved, this <br /> particular site overly encroaches into a higher value agricultural field. Although <br /> there is some slope on this site, it is bottom land in what is now a contiguous valley <br /> containing some of the most productive soils in the Town of Vermont.
