In the minutes from the Town of Cottage Grove planning
committee and the Town Board Meeting , noise nuisance was
semi addressed . It is my understanding that dog runs
will be located on the Eastside of the building. No
provisions were made for the residents located on the
east for any type of sound barrier. Myself and others
live less than 1/4 mile East from this property. I will
be asking you to consider a mature evergreen barrier
should the plan be approved and to set a noise
decimal guideline.
2 . I spoke with Doris Thiele at the DNR , Jim Quinlan at
DILHR and Patti at Environmental Health Dept on 6/5/96 ,
regarding the proper disposal of animal waste , possible
contamination of the Koshkonong Creek and the drinking
water . All houses in this area have wells for our
water supply. Everyone I spoke with had concerns
regarding whether the type of Septic System installed and
inspected on or around May 16 , 1996 , would be suitable to
handle animal waste for 20-50 animals , same concern over
natural drainage runoff into the Koshkonong Creek and the
proposed health and environmental problems and expense
resulting from improper handling of the waste . Final
result of these conversations was that I should contact
Scott Podboy at Environmental health.
