COMPOSITE REPORT-Page 3 Application No.6636/CUP 1344
H. The property line is—300 feet from any other residential lot. These 300
feet of agricultural land act as a buffer strip. Rows of evergreens have been
planted to the north of the property.
III SUMMARY
A. The main issue surrounding this proposed rezoning appears to be the
noise and safety of nearby residential areas.
B. Conditions in approving this proposal could be similar to conditional use
permit#1311 granted in Verona on May 14, 1996, which dealt with the
following issues:
• limit number of regular members at any one time
• build a fence
• post warning signs, especially for people that may park the cars in the
surrounding area and go canoeing
• CUP reviewed every 5 years by zoning administrator.
• increase height and width of the berm for safety
• place center of targets a maximum of three feet from ground level
• all shooting in compliance with Sec. 941.20(1) (d) Wis. Stats., relating
to the discharge of firearms within 100 yards of a dwelling
• place a gate leading into the facility
• provide adequate sanitary facilities
• limit hours between 10:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. (instead of dusk)
It may be most appropriate to consider conditions covering the above
issues at the thime of conditional use permit review.
