Page 1 #3b--
Board of Review should be Town Board Meeting.
Action
(pI ) Ken Hefty moved and Dan Keller seconded a motion to
approve the minutes as corrected. Motion carried.
4. Land Division and Construction Requests--Decision on:
a. Land Division and Rezoning applications from Thomas Brandt dated
July 17. 1996 for a property at 300 Drammen Valley Rd. The Land
Division requested a division of 9.5 acres and 46.8 acres and the
Rezone requested a change from A-1 Excl to A-2(8). Recommendation
by the Land Use Committee was to approve the Land Division and the
Rezone applications but the rezone would be from A-1 Excl to Rh-3.
Also that Lot 2 be zoned conservancy. The reason for wanting RH-3
instead of A-2(8) is the Conditional Uses A-2 allows. The Town could
deed restrict but is only advisory on CU's. Byron Kittleson and Milo
Grundahl came and spoke and said they now would change there vote
on the A-2 zoning and allow it with a deed restriction because of the
nursery. Pat Downing said it would be allowed in RH-3. Craig Galhouse
said that if it stayed with the same owner it would make no difference in
assessment if A-2 or RH-3 but if it changes owners it would be
reassessed and any changes made to the property would be considered.
He stated that a nursery would be considered commercial. Michelle
Nyberg said that Dane County Zoning said to zone it RH-3. Dan Keller
felt this would get rid of the exceptional Conditional Uses although it is
unlikely any will be used.
1
