02/11/97 TUE 12:32 FAX. 608 244 6566 TOWN OF BURKE a005 <br /> MEETING MINUTES OF TOWN BOARD 1-22-97 <br /> PRESENT: Wiganowsky, Stenson, Bedker, Kurt, Volkmann <br /> Call to order by Stenson. Pledge recited. <br /> Public Comment: None <br /> TAFF UTILITY DISTRICT: Volkmann explained that the DNR had had contacted <br /> Wiganowsky last week to let him know that Dennis Hagen had not been making the <br /> proper samplings as Stunkard had discussed with him. In addition, he was not a <br /> certified operator and the Town needed to hire someone immediately. Wiganowsky <br /> had met with the attorney, engineer, and accountant along with the DNR to resolve <br /> potential problems that were brought by Tom Stunkard. It was agreed that a certified <br /> operator would be hired immediately and that the DNR would be copied on all activity <br /> from all agents of the Town. Motion by Stenson to discharge Dennis Hagen, second by <br /> Kurt. Motion carried with all members voting unanimously. Volkmann will send letter to <br /> TCSD alerting them to the action taken and asking them to replace Hagen on the <br /> TCSD. <br /> Leo Weibel had submitted a letter and an invoice for a heater he replaced at the well <br /> located in his garage Motion by Bedker to approve payment to Weibel. Second by <br /> Kurt. Motion carried. <br /> REFUND CHECKS: Motion by Bedker to approve refund checks to tax payers, second <br /> by Kurt. Motion carried. <br /> MASTERCARD: Volkmann explained that the office is requesting a Mastercard to help <br /> cut down on individual checks being written for misc. items needed throughout the <br /> week. Explained that it would save an enormous amount of paperwork, would cut down <br /> on the likelihood of a blank, signed check getting lost, and would make the accounting <br /> procedures easier. The card would be checked out by the user and would need to be <br /> returned the same day with a detailed receipt. Udelhoven would be in charge of <br /> issuing the card to the user. Bedker stated he would rather have a Visa from the Bank <br /> of Sun Prairie. Kurt wanted a $500.00 per purchase limit on the card. The balance will <br /> be paid at the end of each month. Motion to obtain a credit card by Kurt, second by <br /> Bedker. Motion carried. <br /> MCCLOSKEY CSM: Reviewed CSM which showed that it conformed with all lot <br /> standards as outlined by the Town and by the County. Motion to approve by Stenson, <br /> second by Bedker. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> LUNDEBERG CUL DE SAC: Wiganowsky stated that the crew has had trouble with the <br /> rocks in the cul de sac and they need to be removed. They have discussed this many <br /> times with Scott Lundeburg who stated he did not place them there. The cul de sac was <br /> designed by Don Mayo and the boulders were left there by Wolf. Lundeburg stated that <br /> he had placed the white rocks in the center. Wiganowsky explained that this cul de sac <br /> does not conform to Town Ordinances and they will look at completely black topping <br /> this area in the spring. Lundeberg stated he would be able to move the rocks to his <br /> property as soon as the weather permits. He agreed that he will contact the crew within <br />
