I am a member of the York <br /> Township Zoning Committee. Our committee had already unanimously <br /> turned down this zoning request on two occasions. In my mind , I <br /> believe the presence of the lawyer at the board meeting <br /> intimidated the Town Board into overriding our committee' s <br /> decision. If Mr. Smithback is emotionally attached to the land as <br /> stated , the existing family homestead already resides on the <br /> property in a more suitable location with better access to the <br /> existing road network. Today there are at least eleven other <br /> wooded areas within a one mile radius of the location Mr. <br /> Smithback has chosen to build on.
