•
March 27, 1997
Mr. James Van Deurzen, Mr. Lyman Anderson, Mr. Brian Butler, Ms. Karen Cornwell, Mr. John
Hendrick, Mr. Phil Salkin.
Our understanding of Chapter 10-141 of LC-1 Limited Commercial District allows the owner of
a building to build a house on the property for their residence, our daughter Tammy Schoepp
Nelson and our son-in-law David Nelson plan to build a home in this same area.
When reading the documents submitted at the zoning meeting on 3-25-97 by the petitioners
we feel the way the proposed use stated: New Landscaper Contractor Business reads on the
notice of the public hearing mailed from Dane County Planning and Development Zoning
Division the petitioners who organized the petition against the building gave wrong information
to those who have signed.
We question how far a petition may be taken for signatures when protesting rezoning, we were
under the impression only the neighbors joining the land of which is being developed have a
right to protest. If this is true there are a number of signatures that would not be valid.
Sincerely,
erj
Linus& Donna Schoepp
cc: Cross Plains Township
Mr. Harold Krantz, Mr. Bob Boehnen, Mr. Bob Bowman, Mr. Jeff Anderson,
Mr. Arnold Harris, Mr. Ken Esser
Page 1
