tip <br /> j.op 1262 <br /> 1 <br /> / JOINT RECOMMENDATION TO THE ZONING <br /> AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE <br /> OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD <br /> The Town of Christiana, a municipal corporation located in <br /> Dane County, Wisconsin, (hereinafter referred to as the Township) <br /> and Howard Lien and Sons, Inc. , (hereinafter referred to as Owner) <br /> hereby jointly recommend approval of the Owners conditional use <br /> permit for a quarry in the Township and under the following <br /> conditions, and jointly recommend that those conditions be <br /> incorporated into the conditional use permit in the event it is <br /> granted by the County. <br /> 1. The description of the requested quarry is identified as four <br /> parcels and are set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and <br /> made a part, hereof. <br /> A. Area II 1st phase of Map: (orange) CUP approved area <br /> subject to conditions. The area is defined as follows: <br /> commencing at the intersection of the westerly edge of <br /> 411 the easterly power line easement and the centerline of <br /> Koshkonong Road, the point of beginning of this <br /> description; (the Westerly Edge is 75 feet West of the <br /> now existing power line poles and on the quarter Section <br /> Line) thence North along the westerly edge of the <br /> easterly power line easement to the now existing North <br /> boundary of the Howard Lien and Sons, Inc. property <br /> (Southerly boundary of the Robert Smithback property) , <br /> thence Westerly along the Northerly boundary line to a <br /> point on the easterly edge of the west power line <br /> easement; thence Southerly to the centerline of <br /> Koshkonong Road; thence Easterly to the point of <br /> beginning. . <br /> B. Area III 2nd phase of Map: (pink, right middle) . There <br /> shall be no CUP approval due to location of the Dane <br /> County Park and impact on the citizens in the Town of <br /> Christiana, Village of Rockdale and Village of Cambridge. <br /> C. Area I 4th phase of Map: (pink, left middle) CUP <br /> approved area subject to conditions and limitations . <br /> Quarrying activities shall be limited to the areas to the <br /> extent of the deposit limits set forth in Exhibit 1 . The <br /> Owner shall protect and preserve all agricultural lands <br /> not necessary for the quarrying operation. <br />
