Brian L. Brey
113 Nygard Street ‘/O
Madison, WI 53713
H (608)251-8460
W (608)249-5061
OV 01 1994
October 31, 1994
RECEIVED
'ONING DI"
Dane County Zoning Department
City-County Building, Rm 116
Madison, WI 53709
RE: Zoning Petition #6107
Dear Mr. Fleck:
I want to make it known that I am against Betty Franklin-Hammonds
request to change the zoning from R-3 to C-1 and that you and the
board should vote against this proposition for the following reasons:
1. There are far more better places that happen to be
zoned commercial that they could put this news
publishing business on.
2. Traffic noise and congestion in a residental area.
3. Future expansion problems in a community that is
residental
4. Has not been approved by the Town of Madison.
I hope the board sits down this time and contemplates what impact a
business will cause upon an area that is zoned residental. In the past
a church was permitted to build a small building, they have since added
to the building, bought 2 more parcels of land and one house. I forsee
if this business is successful that they will need more land to expand
on and that leads to more residental area being used for commercial
use. Again, I ask you, when will the expansion of commercial property
into a heavily populated residental area stop?
I thank you for taking the time to read this and hope you'll vote no
on changing this to commercial property from residental.
Sincerely yours,
(..-‘4;k1
Brian L.
