I �� That requirement can, and often is , applied to Type 'B ' side 1' roads when heavy volumes on the thru road are interrupted by frequent left turns onto the side road. This indeed may be the case here, especially during the afternoon peak . Our department would then support the requirement for a northbound passing lane . I have to add that safety of the intersection would be further E.) enhanced if the centerline of Fieldstone Drive could meet CTH Fer "CV" at an angle approaching 90 degrees . This may be difficult 114) from to accomplish without the purchase of additional right-of-way from Lot 4 of the Burke Assessor ' s Plat No. 3 . I would encourage to Town to strongly consider this possibility. Please note that both the Type 'A' and Type 'B ' intersection use 36-inch concrete curb & gutter around each turning radius . Not only does this reduce maintenance costs and keep shoulder aggregate off the intersection, its can also reduce the amount of right-of-way required to construct the improvement .
