CUP 1167 (cog) •
The DATCP offers the following recommendations as ways to minimize the potential impacts
of the proposed project:
1. The Middleton-Cross Plains School District should allow Mr. Ziegler to continue to lease
the property at the current rate until the land is needed for construction purposes and
should take into consideration the productive capabilities of the remaining 20 acres when
the lease is renegotiated. The Middleton-Cross Plains School District should give Mr.
Ziegler advance notice of the construction date so that his farm operation and
management decisions can be adjusted to the extent feasible.
2. If possible, the Middleton-Cross Plains School District should design the site plans for
this project to minimize the facilities' impact on the more productive farmland.
3. The Middleton-Cross Plains School District should consult with the county conservationist
on ways to minimize soil erosion during construction.
The DATCP recommendations appear to be reasonable conditions to be applied to this
request.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (septic, etc.)
DANE COUNTY HIGHWAY
OTHER
