Madison, WI 53709 To Whom It May Concern, We have recently entered into a contract with the Department of Transportation to construct the western portion of the USH 18 Verona Bypass in Dane County. This work will begin on July 18, 1994 and will be finished by June 30, 1995. To facilitate this construction, it is our intent to purchase fill material from the Marvin Thompson property, the Dwain and Donna Dickinson property, and from the State of Wisconsin property, to be used as roadway embankment . Thus, we are applying for a conditional use permit for these areas . The area from which we will be extracting material , owned by Marvin Thompson is approximately 8 acres. It is located in the Verona Township, T.6N.-R.8E. , Section No. 21 , the NO 1/1- of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4. This area is zoned as Al - Exclusive. The area from which we will be extracting material , owned by Dwain and Donna Dickinson is approximately 10 acres. It is located in the Verona Township, T.6N.-R. 8E. , Section No. 28, the N# 1/1. of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4. This area is zoned as A2 - Agriculture. The area from which we will be extracting material , owned by the State of Wisconsin is approximately 4 acres. Zg9 The extent of the areas to be excavated are shown on the following maps. Their existing use is farming. These areas will returned to their existing uses and their existing drainage patterns. Looking at the topographical contour maps, the extent of excavation will be removal of the existing hills to match roadway elevations consistent with D.O.T. highway design.
