Problems identified by the inspections shall be repaired as soon as <br /> practicable. <br /> Sediment accumulations shall be removed by dredging when two (2)foot of siltation has occurred,when <br /> the basin's infiltration rate becomes inadequate, or as directed by the Town of Springfield or Dane <br /> County.The dredged materials shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with NR 347. <br /> The detention basin shall be mowed in minimum of twice per year. Mowing shall maintain a minimum <br /> grass height of 6 to 8 inches. Areas of sparse vegetation shall be reseeded. Additional fertilizer shall be <br /> applied as needed, per the results of a soil test. <br /> Separate and distinct records shall be maintained by the owner to record the specific activities and costs <br /> thereof for the maintenance plan implementation. The records shall include the dates of maintenance <br /> visits and specific work performed. Records shall be kept as required by local,state or federal law. <br /> Stone Trench <br /> The owner shall install and maintain the stone trench as shown on the Grading and Erosion Control Plan. <br /> The stone used in the trench shall be limestone. The stone trench shall be inspected on an annual basis <br /> and after rainfalls of 0.5 inches or more.Accumulated sediment should be removed at least twice a year. <br /> The top 12" of limestone should be replaced when it becomes coated with oil and grease and is no <br /> longer effective.The removed limestone should be disposed of properly. <br /> Infiltration Baisn <br /> Visual Inspection of the Infiltration Basin shall be performed,at a minimum,annually. <br /> Maintenance shall be required when system shows standing water beyond 72 hours of rain event. <br /> Cleaning shall consist of removal of sediment, two (2) foot undercut replacement with material <br /> consisting of 15-30%compost and 70-85%sand and restoration in-kind. <br /> Restoration of plant material shall be with native plugs or seed mixture tolerant of fluctuating water <br /> conditions.
