Anderson : <br /> This letter is being written in regards to zoning petition 45a697 <br /> in which Kathy and Steve Endres are requesting a rezone from A-1EX <br /> to We are very much opposed to tins petition because of the <br /> proposed building site . <br /> We bought our house in the country because we liked the sea son <br /> and. privacy that it offered_ We have a long secluded driveway and <br /> wish to keep it that way. A house built at the proposed building <br /> site would take away from this seclusion and privacy and possibly <br /> effect the value or resale potential of our property . <br /> It is our understanding the Endres want to build a house for Steve <br /> so that he can be close to the farm . The proposed site is not even <br /> near the existing farm house (please see enclosed map) . An <br /> alternate building site was approved by the Springfield Planning <br /> Commission which was caoser to the farm and is not being used as <br /> crop land. Unfortanately . the Endres ' will not consider any other <br /> site . <br /> The rezoning was unanimously approved by the Springfield Town Board <br /> on August 3 , 193.3 . We believe , based on similar petitions , that <br /> it would have been denied if Don Endres , the father of Steve <br /> Endres , was not on ane planning commission . The Springfield <br /> Planning Commission tabled the request twice . The only person on <br /> the planning commission in favor of the rezone was Don Hoffman, a <br /> farmer and friend of Don Endres and, who is also on the Springfleld <br /> Town Board. We were :old later by a member of the Planning <br /> Commission that he was afraid to vote because of Don Endres . <br /> Everyone on the Springfield Town Board also knows Don Endres <br /> because he was on the board for quite some time . Because of these <br /> circumistances , we feel we did not receive fair representation on <br /> this matter . <br /> We are not opposed to Steve and Kathy building a house but wish <br /> they would consider another building site , to keep all parties <br /> involved happy.
