Also present were Larry Price, Pat
Downing, Ken Hefty, Dan Keller and approximately 15 town residents.
3. Minutes. The minutes of the Land Use Committee meetings held on July 6
and July 13, 1993 were distributed and reviewed by the Committee
members. Byron Kittleson moved and Milo Grundahl seconded a motion
to approve the minutes as prepared. Motion carried.
4. Rezoning petition #5719. The petition submitted by Louis Heitke requests
rezoning a 12 acre parcel located in Section 31 to RH-3 from A-1 Ex Ag.
The property is located southeast of the intersection of Drammen Valley
and Berg roads. The letter listed six specific points. A lengthy
discussion followed regarding the points raised in the letter. Mr. Heitke
answered questions regarding his future plans for the land remaining after
the possible sale of the 12 acre parcel. Mr. Heitke has accepted an offer
to sell approximately 18 acres to Alan Buchanan, an adjoining land
owner. The total land owned by Mr. Heitke is 107 acres.
Jerry Landmark discussed various options the Committee has
regarding the application and also read the criteria for rezoning listed in
the Land Use Plan.
Steve Ashman moved and Byron Kittleson seconded a motion
recommending approval of petition #5719 by the Town Board with the
condition that a specific building site be designated on the parcel from
access off of Berg Road. Discussion: Jerry Landmark stated he was
opposed to the motion because no site plan was submitted. He believes
the applicant should designate a specific building site and information on
