•
-13
David E Parris
8512 Highway 19
Cross Plains, WI
53528
(608) 798-3184
To the Dane County Board:
This Petition to rezone land is made by my wife, Jeanne M. Parris,
and myself.
We live on 140 acres in the Town of Berry (section 3) which we
purchased in 1990.
We wish to sell a parcel of approximately 14 acres, of wooded land,
for the purpose of constructing one single family home.
We have been working in cooperation with the Berry Township Planning
Committee to ensure our plans comply with the Berry Township Land Use
Plan. We recently received their approval , and the approval of the Town
Board, to proceed with this petition for rezoning.
The access will be at least 66 feet wide at all points, from
Weatherwood Road (a town road) , and a part of the parcel rather than an
easement. This is the wish of the township.
We have had a topographical map showing the proposed driveway course
drawn up by Carl Lochner, president of Boehnen, Inc. , an excavation
company based in Cross Plains. This course is at a 7% grade, well under
the Township limit of 12%. A shorter, but slightly steeper driveway
would be possible.
Jody Meinhoitz, of Meinholtz Excavating, in Waunakee, has identified
some sites where he believes successful perk tests are likely.
Neighbors next to the proposed site, at the same elevation, say
their well depth is 260 feet. They have also supported with our wish to
sell this parcel as a homesite.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
aoo'
Attached please find a rough legal description, and a 1" = 499' scale
drawing ; we will have the Certified Survey done as soon as the leaves
are off the trees this fall , by Royal Oak Engineering. It is already
scheduled, per Arden Sandsness. The actual path of the driveway will be
determined then, which will determine one of the boundaries of the
parcel , which will determine the minimum size of the lot. In any event,
it seems clear that the Parcel size will fall between 8 and 16 acres.
SOIL CLASSIFICATION:
