January 23 ,1993 <br /> To: Dane County Zoning <br /> Att : Steve Reynolds <br /> We are writing to list our following objections to the <br /> proposed change in zoning from A-1 Ag . Zoning to A-B Agri <br /> Business-Petition #5529 by Duffy Bros . Inc . <br /> Our property is adjacent to the proposed site ; here are <br /> our objections to you . <br /> 1 . Within 1/4-1/2 mile from our residence . <br /> 2 . Air pollution if future development fo grain drying <br /> is implemented . <br /> 3 . Noise factor of grain dryer that at times of harvest <br /> continues 24 hours . <br /> 4 . Heavy truck traffic from transporting grain to and <br /> from farms . <br /> 5 . Again noise factor from which a high capacity auger <br /> would direct grain to high speed grain leg to fill <br /> bins . <br /> 6 . Water drain off from facility harmfull to soil <br /> conservation , and perhaps water quality if our <br /> surrounding pasture would graze cattle through <br /> which a natural waterway flows . <br /> 7 . Duffy Bros . plan involves 27 rail car units for <br /> loading , but rail siding for 54 car units could be <br /> involved if need arises .
