BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING - MAY 9, 1969 The Dane County Board of Adjustment met at 7:30 P.M. May 9, 1969 in Room 226 (Circuit Court Branch IV), City- County Building, Madison, Wisconsin to conduct a public hearing as published in the notice. The following members were present: Millard Erickson, Chairman; Oscar Holte, Vice-Chairman; Hermann Eisner Secretary. Also present; L. J. Enger, Zoning Assistant. The meeting was called to order, the notice read and the following cases heard: 1. Appeal by Sam Storm from the denial of a permit to locate a mobile hose on parts of lots 9 and 10, block 13, Plat of Paoli. Permit denied because rear yard is less than required by Dane County Zoning Ordinance. THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. Sam Storm and Mr. Harry Storm present- es a plot plan showing the location of the mobile home on the land. The dimension was changed from 40 feet in length to 27 feet in length. Mr. Storm would be willing to reduce the right side yard to 15 feet if necessary. He said that sewer service would be provided by connection to an existing septic tank and water would be supplied by a driven point. THOSE OPPOSED: Mr. Henry Aebly, Sr. and Mr. Henry Aebly, Jr. appeared and questioned the sanitary problems which would be created and that his well (Mr. Aebly) is close to the drain field on the Storm property. The Board called Mr. Storm back and asked if he had any advice from his plumbing contractor regarding the ability of the land to handle the septic tank system. TOWN BOARD: Mr. Mellenberger and Mr. Sandridge appeared and said that they would grant a permit if the Board granted a variance and would not renew the permit if the mobile home were to be used for rental purposes. ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Eisner moved that the Board inspect the site again on May 17 at 9:30 A.M. and that all interested parties be present. The motion was seconded b, Mr. Holte and carried. 2. Appeal by Sanford Kleven from the denial of a permit to build a loafing barn on a parcel of land in the SEi SW% of Section 19, Town of Dunkirk. Permit denied because set back from road is less than required by Dane County Zoning Ord- inance. THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. Kleven appeared and explained that the barn was already to close to the road and that this barn would be an extension to the west. He said the contractor had come in and poured the walls without being notified that a variance was needed. THOSE OPPOSED: None TOWN BOARD: Mr. Holte said the town board was in favor of granting the variance.
