BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING - APRIL 11, 1969, Page #2
3.. Appeal by Eldon Copus from the denial of a permit to build a
manufacturing building on a parcel of land in the ,N\i N ; of
• Section 36, Town of Fitchburg. Permit denied because set back
from highway is less than required by Dane County Zoning Ord-
inance.
Mr. Copus explained that because of the length of the building he
required and the location of a drainage way on the lot a variance
would be needed to build. It was explained that the drainage way
would have to be moved to the east at least 50 feet in order to
build and that there would have to be agreements with neighbor-
ing land owners in order to move the ditch. Mr. Bruha owns the
land over which access to the lot would be gained, he had no
objection to the variance or changing the watercourse.
THOSE OPPOSED: A letter from Ray Swann, Dane County Highway
commissioner was read in opposition and placed on file.
TOWN BOARD: Mr. McKee, Chairman of the Town of Fitchburg said
that their engineer had advised that Mr. Copus work out the
agreements with neighboring property owners on the relocation
' of the watercourse. If this could be done, the Town of Fitchburg
would have no objection to the variance.
ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Eisner moved to grant the variance if
and agreement with the neighboring property owners which' is
acceptable to the Town Board of Fitchburg on the relocation
of the drainage way. Mr. Holte seconded and vote was unanimous.
Mr. Holte moved to adjourn, Mr. Eisner seconded and the meeting
was adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
Mileage: all regular
Secretary, Hermann Eisner
1
•
•
