DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING - AUGUST 27, 1968 - PAGE #3 <br /> Martin Ripp, farmer Town of Windsor - questioned the procedure. Mr. Eisner <br /> and Mr. Erickson explained the procedures necessary in these matters. <br /> Mr. Ripp said he wouldn't like to see the drying service discontinued <br /> and he hopes that the questions won't take to long to answer. <br /> Gerald Coster, farmer Town of Westport- realizes there are some prob- <br /> lems, but would like to see Home Feed Co. stay in business. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: <br /> Mrs. John Smith, owns home across street. Pointdd out the extent of re- <br /> pairs and alterations to the building, also that the propane gas tank <br /> was to close to the road. Objects to trucks parked on both sides of <br /> the street, sometimes trucks completely block the street; also objected <br /> to Home Feed Co. doing commercial drying. <br /> Henry Gerry, homeowner Block 12. Had worked for Home Feed Co. and re- <br /> members getting a building a building permit about 17 years ago for a <br /> building. When the dryer was between the railroad tracks, there was no <br /> dust. Has complained about dust and thought that the state had ordered <br /> dust control, but had no other information in this regard. Says dryer <br /> runs all hours. Asked why he didn't get notice, his property was more <br /> than 200 feet from the land in question. <br /> Bill Moran, homeowner across street. Has lived there a number of years, <br /> noise and dust go on at all hours of the day and nite, dust is some- <br /> times so thick, can't see his house. Had petitioned the town board for <br /> relief a year ago. Hasn't been able to sell his property because of <br /> dryer. <br /> Bill Pitzel, homeowner Block 12, Doesn't think Home Feed Co. should <br /> be put out of business, but that dust, dirt and noise is a problem. <br /> Parking is a problem, especially large trucks parked across intersec- <br /> tions. Would like to see Home Feed Co. and it's customers obey all of <br /> the laws. Says he has lived in his home for 30 years and that Home <br /> Feed Co. went into business 18 years ago. <br /> Mrs. Bill Moran- objected to night time operation and noise. Asked <br /> about public nuisance laws. Mr. Morris explained these laws and how <br /> they were enforced. <br /> Mr. Eisner moved that the public hearing be adjourned, Mr. Holte <br /> seconded and the motion carried. <br /> Mr. Eisner moved that a joint meeting with the Zoning Committee be <br /> arranged as soon as possible. Mr. Holte seconded and the motion <br /> carried. <br /> Mr. Erickson called a meeting for 9:00 A.M., Saturday August 31, <br /> 1968 at the City-County Garage for an additional inspection trip <br /> and will make arrangements for the Zoning Committee to be present. <br /> Mr. Eisner moved for adjournment, Mr. Holte seconded, motion carried. <br /> Meeting Adjourned at 9:50 P.M. <br /> Secretary, Hermann Eisner ��:' J!>'�L <br /> L <br />
