Appeal by Martins Feed Co. , Inc. for a variance from distance requ', e-
ments as provided by Section 10.42 (2) (b) of the Dane County Zoning
Ordinance. Variance is necessary to permit erection of a directory sign
on Berlin Road in the NEA SW of Section 8, Town of Medina.
IN FAVOR: Ken Martin the main problem is that Deansville is not iden-
tified on maps or by directory signs making it difficult for truckers
to find it. Am aware of State jurisdiction. Erickson; State has more
restrictive ordinance, it would he meaningless for us to :°rant a variance
for a sign the State will not allow. The Board suggests that the Town
Board of Medina adopt a resolution requesting permission to erect
Deansville directory signs.
lbw #412. Appeal by Thomas P.Streb for a variance from parking space require
ment as provided by Section 10.18 (d) of the Dane County Zoning Ordi-
nance. Variance is necessary to permit construction of an addition to
a building located in part of the NE;', SEIA of Section 35, Town of Madison.
IN FAVOR: Paul Lather representing Thomas Streb. Planning a warehouse
addition to existing retail store. There are 20 parking spaces avail-
able. This is not a typical retail business; much of it is catalog
with limited walk in trade therefore requiring little parking space.
At sometime in the future a portion of this warehouse may be utilized
for display area necessitating more parking space.
