Cave of the Mounds is not just a local business but is a <br /> nationally known tourist attraction requiring explicit road <br /> direction. <br /> 2. State sign ordinance exempts signs for natural phenomena, historic, <br /> cultural, scientific, educational and religious sites etc. <br /> 3. Cave : of the Mounds has read requests for more explicit direction. <br /> , 4. Sign in all other aspects will conform to ordinance. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> A. Unnecessary hardhip ,caused by ordinance in view of nature of <br /> business. <br /> B. Sign is in interest of the public. <br /> Notion carried. <br /> #366. Notion by Voges second by Dahlk to grant variance of 7.7' from <br /> rear yard requirement as per find of fact: <br /> 1. Unnecessary hardship caused by flood plain area and necessary <br /> location of septic field. <br /> 2. Motion by Dahlk second by Voges to grant a Special Excpetion Permit <br /> to remodel and build an addition to a residnece located inthe Wisconsin <br /> River flood plain as per finding of fact: <br /> 1. Compliance with ordinance would require 5 feet of fill thereby <br /> creating a basement out of the 1-story dwelling. <br /> 2. Addition will be minimal, 3' x 13' and 3' x 24' on NW corner of <br /> residence and will not include additional bedrooms or plumbing. <br /> 3. Residence is protected from flood-way by a wooded area to the <br /> east. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> A. Unnecessary, impractical hardship would be caused by required <br /> filling. <br />
