MINUTES OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> MEETING OF AUGUST 16, 1974 <br /> Present: Erickson, Dahlk c , Voges: Also: Fleck <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. in Room 226 by Chairman Erickson to <br /> conduct a public hearing as published in the notice. Motion by Dahlk to <br /> approve the minutes of July 19, 1971 and August 10, 1974, second by Voges. <br /> Motion carried. Motion by Voges to correct the minutes of the special <br /> meeting on May 22, 1974 to read: "present: Erickson and Dahlk", second <br /> by Dahlk. Motion carried. <br /> The notice was read and the Public Hearing was opened. <br /> #295. Appeal by David Zeasman for a variance from setback requirements <br /> as provided by Section 10.17 (2) of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> Variance is necessary to permit repair and restoration of a non-conforming <br /> residence. LOCATION: on CTH "A" in part of the SDI NEVI of Section 18, <br /> Township of Perry. <br /> IN FAVOR: David Zeasman, purpose is to repair existing building and add <br /> plumbing and heating, no exterior addition will be made. CTH"Al' was <br /> widened about 1970-71, causing part of the setback problem. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: Bone. OPPOSED: None. TOWN BOARD. Not present. <br /> CO1MMUNICATION: Letter from Dane County Highway stating no objection. <br /> #296. Appeal by Gordon W. Haase for a variance from side yard requirement <br /> as provided by Section 10.13 (6) (a) of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> Variance is necessary to permit an addition to the residence. LOCATION: <br /> Lot # 6, Assessor's Plat #3, Township of Burke. <br /> IN FAVOR: Gordon W. Haase, addition is necessary to provide a dry area <br /> for storage, basement is continually wet due to high water trouble. Add- <br /> ition is located in only feasible location. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: G. Meyer, neighbor on side of proposed addition. <br /> OPPOSED: None. TOWN BOARD. Not present. <br /> #297. Appeal by Bernie Spilde for a variance from side yard requirements. <br /> as provided by Section 10.07 (6)(a) of the Dana County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> Variance is necessary to permit an addition to the residence. LOCATION: <br /> Lot 6, Block 3, Monson Park, Township of Pleasant Springs. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. & Mrs. Spilde, proposed addition will be a garage. Space <br /> to rear of the house is too small and area in front is restricted because <br /> of trees, well, and septic system. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. <br /> OPPOSED: None. TOWN BOARD. Not present. <br /> #298. Appeal by West Park Professional Offices for a variance from height <br /> requirements as provided by Section 10.11 (3) of the Dane County Zoning <br /> Ordinance. Variance is necessary to permit 65' building height. LOCATION <br /> The West 658.85' df the MI SA between Seybold Road &Beltline Highway, <br /> Section 25, Township of Middleton. <br /> IN FAVOR: H. L. Olson, agent, proposed construction is a motor-hotel. <br /> C-1 Zone permits only 4 stories. Request is for 5 stories in order to <br /> provide enough rooms to insure financial feasibility of the venture and to <br /> allow a pent-house supper club, parking, future expansion and building <br /> aesthetics. Surrounding area is C-2, which allows 65' height. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSEDt None. TOWN BOARD. Telephone call from <br /> Clerk Ray Tanek: No objection. <br /> 1 <br />
